Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Messenger to Shutdown for 7days

According to the Chief Executive Officer Mark Zuckerberg, the giant social media platforms; Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Messenger will be shut down for 168 hours (7days) starting from today.

This decision according to him is to enable them start their upgrade today being Wednesday October 6th 2021 which is intended to last for about 1300 hours.

He however apologized for the disruption, stating that he know how much we rely on their services to stay connected with the people we care about.

Recall that on Monday, Facebook stock went down by about 5.5 per cent, while its Chief Executive Officer, Mark Zuckerberg, also lost nearly $7bn to the outage that plagued the social media platform.
