FIFA reacts as Messi’s exit from Barcelona is confirmed
FIFA has reacted to the news that Lionel Messi will be leaving Barcelona this summer.
The world football governing body posted an eight-minute clip of Messi’s highlights on Twitter.
It was accompanied by the text:
“Has one man ever done more for one club?
“Leo, what you did for Barça was utterly mind-blowing.”
The 34-year-old leaves the LaLiga giants, after failing to sign a new five-year contract.
Messi, who first joined Barcelona’s Academy in 2000, will now represent another team for the 2021/2022 season.
