Florence and the Machine cancelled: Tour suspended after Florence Welch breaks foot on stage at London’s O2 arena
Following Florence Welch, the lead singer of Florence and the Machine, breaking her foot on stage at London’s O2 arena, the band has canceled the remaining dates of their UK and Ireland tour. When Florence Welch fell to the floor on stage, the band was in the middle of a UK tour.
I’m so sorry to say that following an x-ray it seems I was dancing on a fractured foot last night, the frontwoman wrote on Facebook.
I would never normally cancel a performance, much less a UK tour, but I’m in agony, and as dancers are aware, dancing when injured is not advised. and have been advised not to perform in order to prevent further harm.
