Nigeria: National Assembly may move to impeach Buhari – Lawmaker reveals gives reason

A member of the House of Representatives, Dachung Bagos, who represents Jos South/Jos East Federal Constituency has disclosed that there is a tendency for the National Assembly to begin impeachment moves against President Muhammadu Buhari.

Speaking with Channels TV on Thursday, April 29, Bagos noted that the Assembly might be forced to kick-start the process if the president fails to implement security resolutions made by the lower chamber.

In the lawmaker’s opinion, Nigeria’s security situation would not have gotten this bad if the executive arm of the federal government had earlier acted on at least 30% of the advice of the legislature.
