No More Foreign Exchange for Food Importers – President Buhari


The President of Nigeria President Muhammadu Buhari has restated that nobody importing food or fertilizer should be given foreign exchange from the Central Bank.
According to his recent tweet on Septemeber 10 2020, He made it clear that and i quote ”We will not pay a kobo of our foreign reserves to import food or fertilizer. We will instead empower local farmers and producers”.
Saying that we have a lot of able-bodied young people willing to work, and agriculture is the answer.

For me, i think this is a great opportunity for existing and intending farmers to benefit from.
