The sugarcane plant, which provides the majority of white table sugar and processed sugar, is the source of sugarcane juice. However, sugarcane scientifically known as Saccharum officinarum.

In nations like Brazil, India, and Thailand where sugarcane is produced in abundance, sugarcane juice is well known and consumed in does places due to it’s abundance.

However, the process in making sugarcane juice can be daunting and tiring as you would have to go through alot of processing to achieve the juice. In making the juice, iron rollers are used to press the fresh juice from the sugarcane.

After extraction, the juice may be garnished with mint, ginger, and rock salt or served as a refreshing beverage with ice and a squeeze of lemon for flavor.

Apart from being juice a sweet tasty plant, it has tons of uses of which we all know. Some of the products made with sugarcane are jaggery, molasses, rum, biofuel, and ethanol.

However, since we’ve now being introduced to the world of sugar cane, it’s time to look into what you stand to benefit from this sweet tasting plant.

But before that i would love to ask you a question, though to you it may seem like a rhetorical question. If too much sugar is bad to our health, then why is too much sugarcane fruit good and beneficial to our health, despite it being the base of ‘Table Sugar’.
