According to a report confirmed on Friday by the Executive Secretary of the National Human Rights Commission, Tony Ojukwu, a woman and her three months old child has been molested by officers of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS.
Ojukwu disclosed on his Twitter account that an officer of the Nigeria Police Force security unit whose name is identified as ‘Idowu’ had threatened a mother with a gun in Ibadan, Oyo state, leaving the woman and her three months old child with injuries.
His tweet reads: “Gov @seyiamakinde, my team is on this but this report on a @PoliceNG SARS Officer popularly known as “Idowu Sars” who pulled up a gun & beat up a woman & her 3-month-old baby in Ibadan is disheartening. Immediate action needs to be taken TOWARDS JUSTICE!”
This is coming barely a week after Naija News reported that men of the Nigeria Police Force in Lagos State allegedly fired a gun at a young girl and a driver at Iyana Oworo.
