Burna Boy’s ‘On The Low’ certified gold in the US
Burna Boy’s Afrobeat/Dancehall fusion hit single ‘On The Low’ is now certified Gold in the United States three years after its release.
‘On The Low’ was certified Gold on April 26 by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) after it reached the sales and streaming equivalent of 500,000 units sold in the United States.
‘On The Low’ by Burna Boy is a track off the acclaimed Grammy-nominated album ‘African Giant’ album and was produced by music doctor, Kel P.
The Afrobeats star is not new to his single being certified gold by RIAA.
In May 2021, his global hit song, ‘Ye’ which appeared on his ‘Outside’ album was also certified.
‘Ye’ is also certified Gold in the UK for sales exceeding 400,000 units, while ‘On The Low’ is certified Silver for sales exceeding 200,000 units in the country, according to the British Phonographic Industry (BPI).
Both songs were certified Platinum in Canada on April 14, 2022, for sales exceeding 80,000 units each.
‘Anybody’, off the ‘African Giant’ album, was also certified Gold by Music Canada.
