Cardi B talks about her role in the Hollywood Blockbuster movie ‘Fast & Furious’ 9
American rapper Cardi B has shared an insight into her role in the upcoming film F9: The Fast Saga alongside Vin Diesel.
It didn’t come as a surprise when it was announced in 2019 that the WAP crooner had hopped onto the vehicular franchise in a mystery role as fans have become accustomed to major celebrity appearances in the billion-dollar franchise.
Cardi B plays the character of Leysa and while talking about the part, revealed that lead star Vin Diesel was the one who reached out to her about a role and she says she jumped at the opportunity to be included in the ninth part.
Speaking about the role in a new BTS video clip, the artist mentioned that she was happy to be “representing such a powerful strong woman” in F9: The Fast Saga.
“Vin Diesel reached out and he was talking about a role. And I’m like, it’s freaking Fast & Furious. Get me there. Put me on a plane”. she stated in the clip.
“I like the fact that it’s like I’m representing such a powerful strong woman… “, she added.
Cardi B made her acting debut in the 2019 film Hustlers alongside Jennifer Lopez. F9: The Fast Saga is set to be released theatrically on June 25, 2021.
