Bauchi Schools Reopen October 12

Bauchi has announced all primary and secondary schools will reopen October 12.
Commissioner of Education, Dr. Aliyu Tilde, gave the directive on Friday in Bauchi.
He said the reopening is sequel to the resolutions adopted at the meeting of School Exchange Program attended by Commissioners of Education of the 19 Northern last week in Abuja, which allow schools to reopen on or before October 30.
He said further the resolution was approved by Governor Bala Mohammed on September 23.
According to him: ”All teaching and supporting staff in public schools are required to fully resume work at their duty stations on 3 October 2020 in preparation for resumption of the school calendar.”
Tilde however said tertiary institutions are not included in the reopening as they have their regulatory bodies that will determine when they are to resume.

He therefore warned that schools which did not comply with the Covid-19 regulations on school reopening will be indefinitely shut down.
