Breaking: Scottish mountain bike champion Rab Wardell dies at age of 37
Rab Wardell, a Scottish mountain cyclist who had just won the Scottish MTB XC Championships, passed away recently.
On Tuesday night, Scottish Cycling announced that Wardell, 37, had passed away while sleeping.
In a tweet, it said: “We are devastated to confirm the news that Rab Wardell, an international mountain biker and former employee, passed away today.
“At this time, we don’t know very much, but we send our love and support to his family, friends, and anybody else who knew him in our community.
“We ask that you respect the privacy of Rab’s family at this very difficult time.”
