Memorial: National Vietnam War Veterans Day

The Wall That Heels is a 34-scale traveling replica of Washington, D.C.’s Vietnam Veterans Memorial. It contains the names of over 58,000 American service members who died in Vietnam.

The wall will be moved from Fayetteville to Lake Benson Park on Tuesday, March 29, National Vietnam Veterans Day, and will be on display until Sunday, April 3. The wall will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with no admission fee.

The escort, which will include dozens of motorcycles and a custom-designed truck to transport the wall, will travel through downtown Clayton around noon, turn left, and proceed down Roberson Street, according to organizers.
The Garner Fire Department will greet the escort at the Greenfield Parkway, according to organizers.
