Six members of Gombe traditional title holder’s family die in auto crash
Six members of the same family have perished in a fatal motor accident in Gombe State.
The victims were members of the family of a traditional title holder, Maidalan Gombe.
The Bauchi State Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) said the crash occurred on Sunday evening, April 14, 2024, along the Azare-Gombe road as was reported by the Azare Unit Command.
The Sector Commander of the FRSC, Patrick Ikaba, who confirmed the crash in a statement on Monday, said the family was travelling back to Gombe from Kano State.
Meanwhile, Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has conveyed his deepest condolences to Maidalan Gombe over the loss of 6 of his family members in a fatal motor accident.
The Governor who attended the funeral prayers alongside the Emir of Gombe, Alhaji Dr Abubakar Shehu Abubakar III, and hundreds of other sympathizers, noted that the loss of family members in such a tragic manner is quite devastating.
In a statement by Ismaila Uba Misilli Director-General, (Press Affairs), Government House, Gombe, the governor said the entire community is deeply affected by the sad event.
“Our heartfelt condolences to Maidalan Gombe and the entire bereaved family members during this incredibly difficult time. The loss of 6 family members in such a tragic road accident is not only a profound loss to your family but it also deeply affects the entire Gombe people,” he said.
“Words cannot adequately express the sorrow felt for the immense grief you and your loved ones are experiencing. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers as you pass through this heartbreaking time.”
The Governor prayed that Almighty Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the deceased and reward their good deeds with Aljannat Firdaus.
