On his social media sites, Tyson Fury announced his decision to once again leave the sport of boxing, bidding it “bon voyage” on the occasion of his 34th birthday.
Following his victory over Dillian Whyte to regain his WBC title at London’s Wembley Stadium in April, Fury made the announcement that he was quitting the sport.
However, “The Gypsy King” declared in June that he would “100%” return to the ring, adding that a hypothetical unification matchup with Anthony Joshua or Oleksandr Usyk would necessitate “huge pockets.”
Fury posted: “Massive gratitude to everyone who had an input in my profession over the years & after long hard conversations I’ve now decided to walk away & on my 34th birthday I say Bon voyage.” However, it appears that Fury has officially called it quits at this point.
