UK: BBC announces shortlist of cities to host Eurovision 2023
The BBC has revealed the shortlist of UK cities that are vying to host Eurovision 2023.
Numerous locations around the country have been competing for the opportunity to host the competition since it was announced that the UK would do so instead of Ukraine next year.
Although Glasgow and Manchester also put forward bids to host the event, London’s mayor Sadiq Khan insisted that it take place in the English metropolis.
The seven cities on the short list for the opportunity to host the yearly event have now been made public, and they are Birmingham, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle, and Sheffield.
