UNICEF celebrate Tanzania’s Independence Day

United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF), today celebrate Tanzania’s Independence Day!

Let’s keep working together to build a future where all children in Tanzania have the opportunity to reach their full potential says United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF).

This public holiday is always celebrated on December 9th. The day celebrates the end of British rule in Tanganyika in 1961.

According to the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF), It is Tanzania’s National Day, a day when the Tanzanian people mark their independence with speeches, parades and flags.

They also stated that Tanzanian Independence Day is celebrated with a presidential address, a military parade and performances by music groups at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam.
