US President Joe Biden and House Democratic Leaders discuss the American Rescue Plan

The 46th President of the United States of America (President Joe Biden) met with House Democratic leaders this morning to discuss the American Rescue Plan.

Some reactions proved that some people welcomed the idea and appreciated Mr. President stating that ”he is a breath of fresh air after the dark cloud of Trump loomed over every minority before you”.

Piece by piece the relief package is being dismantled. The most critical part of this package to affect change for POC was increasing the minimum wage to $15 an hour. I hope Democrats lose the majority if this promise is not honored. This is unacceptable!

So why run on raising the minimum wage to $15/hr? It is unacceptable but what is more unacceptable is that people make excuses for politicians who clearly are not concerned about equity. They can change what they want to change, let’s be clear on that.
