Kanye West sued by U.S based pastor, see what really happened
A US pastor is reportedly suing Kanye West over a piece of sampled audio used in a track on his latest album ‘Donda’.
According to TMZ, Texas court documents show that Bishop David Paul Moten stated that parts of the sermon were used for a total of 70 seconds on the track Come To Life.
It accounts for more than 20% of the track’s slightly more than five-minute duration.
According to the documents, this is the latest instance of Kanye and the music industry “wilfully and egregiously sampling sound recordings of others without consent or permission.”
