Ukraine-Russia War: Britain Sends ‘Hundreds of Air Defence Missiles’ to Ukraine After Russian Bombings – Photos/Videos
Hundreds of British made air defence missiles are to be sent to Ukraine in response to the latest Russian strikes, Grant Shapps has announced.
The defence minister said the “latest wave of murderous air strikes” by Russia were a “desperate and futile attempt to regain momentum”.
Russia has in recent months gained the upper hand on the front lines while pledges of Western military aid to Ukraine has slowly waned.
Mr Shapps added: “Today’s air defence package sends an undeniable message, in the face of Russian barbarity that the UK remains absolutely committed to supporting Ukraine.”
Around 200 British-made air defence missiles are expected to be sent to Ukraine under the new pledge, as Mr Shapps called on the “free world to come together and redouble” the war effort.
