Nigeria: INEC to extends voters card registration
According to source, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has ruled out the option of extending the present voter registration process as of today, July 31.
Festus Okoye, national commissioner for voter education and publicity at the INEC, provided the update to reporters in Awka, Anambra State.
The election, which is set to end on Sunday, won’t be extended, according to Okoye, who also noted that INEC has ensured that all eligible voters were registered.
He said that the electoral board has recently opened registration centers in churches and other locations to accommodate the growing number of prospective voters.
