Prince Philip Memorial: Queen accompanied by prince Andrew into Westminster Abbey

A memorial service for the late Duke of Edinburgh which began at 10.30 a.m. today, Tuesday, March 29th, at Westminster Abbey.

The Service of Thanksgiving will be held at Westminster Abbey, with a 1,800-person crowd expected to pay tribute to Prince Philip’s life.

Most senior members of the royal family, including the Queen, are expected to attend. Her Majesty is currently on her way from Windsor to Westminster Abbey, accompanied by the Duke of York.

It comes after the 95-year-old head of state canceled her participation in the Commonwealth Day service earlier this month due to mobility issues, and she has previously spoken about her inability to move.

According to previous reports, the Queen is “determined” to attend the service. According to the Palace, she has been actively involved in the service’s planning, with many elements reflecting her wishes.
