Taylor Hawkins, Foo Fighters drummer, has died, according to the band
Taylor Hawkins, the drummer for the legendary US rock band Foo Fighters, died on Friday, the band announced. He was 50 years old.
“Taylor Hawkins’ tragic and untimely death has devastated the Foo Fighters family. His musical spirit and contagious laughter will live on in all of us for the rest of our lives “In a statement, the band said “Our hearts go out to his wife, children, and family, and we respectfully request that their privacy be respected during this unbearably difficult time.”
The cause of death has not been revealed.
According to the band’s website, the band was scheduled to perform at the Festival Estereo Picnic in Bogotá, Colombia, on Friday, followed by Lollapalooza Brasil on Sunday.
The show was canceled just as the audience was about to arrive.
