Popular Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie visits Ukraine amidst war between Russia
Hollywood star Angelina Jolie was rushed to safety during her visit to Lviv in war-torn Ukraine after an air-raid siren went off.
While visiting the country on Saturday, an air-raid siren was signaled at the station amid fears of an attack, and the 46-year-old actress was whisked away by her aides who swiftly bundled the star into a waiting car, presumably headed to a bunker.
The incident was filmed and Jolie remained calm through it all, even waving at the camera at some point and saying, “I’m okay.”
Speaking on Jolie’s visit, Lviv’s regional governor Maksym Kozytsky, disclosed that the actress spoke to children undergoing treatment for injuries sustained in the missile strike on the Kramatorsk railway station in April.
“She was very moved by the children’s stories. One girl was even able to privately tell Ms. Jolie about a dream she’d had”, Kozytsky wrote in a social media post.
