Beyonce releases her seventh album, ‘Renaissance’
Renaissance, Beyoncé’s long-awaited and eagerly awaited seventh studio album, is finally accessible to everybody. After the critically acclaimed visual album Lemonade, the 16-song LP is her first solo release in six years.
Renaissance is a musical progression for the world superstar, according to critics, including Sidney Madden and Ann Powers of NPR Music.
Grace Jones, Tems, and BEAM make guest appearances on Renaissance, which also features a number of credits from influential musicians like The-Dream, producer Mike Dean, and Raphael Saadiq and Drake.
The-Dream also worked with producer Mike Dean on the smash hit “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It),” among other megahits.
On her website, Beyoncé wrote of Renaissance, “This three act project was recorded over three years during the pandemic. A time to be still but also a time I found to be the most creative,” an indication that the new release is the first of three parts.
