Jeff Jarrett reportedly leaves WWE
Jeff Jarrett, a member of the WWE Hall of Fame, has departed the organization just a few months after being appointed Senior Vice President of Live Events.
Jeff Jarrett has had a very busy past three months since beginning his executive position with WWE at the end of May. Since then, Double J has competed in Ric Flair’s final bout, when he lost to The Nature Boy after being struck with a pair of brass knuckles by Flair.
The announcement by Vince McMahon that he would step down as Chairman and CEO of WWE and be succeeded by his daughter Stephanie and the company’s President Nick Khan marked a turning point in wrestling history.
After only three months in the job, Jeff Jarrett has reportedly left it, according to PWInsider’s Mike Johnson. However, no explanation for the departure has yet been made public.
Jeff Jarrett most recently appeared on WWE television at SummerSlam, serving as the special guest referee for The Usos vs. The Street Profits’ match for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship. The Usos prevailed in that match to keep their crowns.
