Cryptocurrency: Bitcoin jumps as traders head to Miami

Bitcoin jumped into gains on Thursday as thousands of traders and investors packed their bags to the world’s largest bitcoin conference held in Miami, Florida.

The largest cryptocurrency was up over 4 percent to $38,840 as of report time, raising its market capitalisation to $727 billion.

Investors are looking to the Bitcoin 2021 in-person conference in Miami starting Thursday as a possible positive influence on price movement.

Blockchain trailblazers and crypto-curious celebs including Twitter’s Jack Dorsey, computer scientist Nick Szabo, skater Tony Hawk, Floyd Mayweather, and pols like former Congressman Ron Paul and Senator Cynthia Lumis are all slated to speak at the two-day event at Wynwood’s Mana Convention Center.

Bitcoin, which had a tough run last month, is now being speculated to be potential en route to recovery, as technical analysis shows that it has successfully held support around the $35,000.
