Due to their refusal to renew their broadcast licenses, the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) has terminated the broadcast licenses of Silverbird TV, AIT, Raypower FM, and Rhythm FM among others.
The NBC’s Director General, Mallam Balarabe Shehu, revealed this today, August 19.
Additionally, Shehu instructed its state offices to coordinate with security organizations so that the operation of these stations would cease within the following 24 hours.
To prevent complete disconnect, he advised the stations to pay their fees before the deadline of 24 hours.
He asserts that the media companies owe NBC N2.66 billion.
