Photos from Athens’ 2022 Greek Independence Day
This year’s military parade commemorates the 201st anniversary of March 25, 1821 – Greek Independence Day – with four newly acquired Greek Rafale of the 332nd Squadron “Geraki” and another four of the French air force, which took off from the French aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle to join the aircraft and helicopters flying from there.
The Greek fighter aircraft Spitfire, rebuilt by the Niarchos Foundation, took off from Tatoi, accompanied by a 335th Greek F-16.
Armoured vehicles also took part in the parade.
