The United States regards Greece as a “key partner and NATO ally.” Blinken says
US Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken praised Greece as a “key partner and NATO ally” in advancing the two countries’ “shared goals for people and stability” in the eastern Mediterranean and beyond.
“Today, we celebrate the history and democratic values that bind our countries and peoples together,” Blinken said in a statement commemorating Greek Independence Day.
“The United States views Greece as a key partner and NATO ally as we advance our shared goals for peace and stability in the Eastern Mediterranean, Western Balkans, Black Sea region, and beyond,” he said.
Blinken also expressed gratitude to Greece for its response to the Ukraine conflict, which entered its 30th day on Friday.
“Our relationship has never been better.”
