Atlanta Shooting: Woman kills two people – 1 shot in Midtown neighborhood

In Atlanta’s Midtown neighborhood on Monday, a woman opened fire, killing two people and injuring another. She was later apprehended at the airport, according to police.

Despite not knowing the exact cause of the attack right away, Atlanta police said they suspect the victims were specifically targeted. The suspect’s identity was kept a secret.
Around 1:45 p.m., police officers went to a report of a shooting and discovered two victims at the first structure. According to Atlanta police, one of the victims passed away, while the other was brought to a hospital.

Police also received a report of a shooting at a different structure less than a mile (1.6 km) away while they were there. That patient was also transferred to the hospital, where she passed away.
