Breaking: Two Indiana State football team dies in car crash

According to several sources, Indiana State University football players Caleb VanHooser and Christian Eubanks sadly perished in an automobile accident over the weekend.

The school’s president, Dr. Deborah J. Curtis, said, “There are no words to adequately communicate the depth of our regret for this tragedy. “We offer our sincere sympathies to the students’ families and friends. The Sycamore family is in mourning and will help one another through this difficult time.”

“It is with (a) sad heart that we grieve the death of Caleb VanHooser, former Hawk great and Indiana State football star who was called home to Heaven early this morning,” said VanHooser’s former high school, Lakota East High School, in a statement confirming the tragic news of his demise.

“We will always be grateful for what he did for our program. RIP #2. I adore you.”

“It is with great regret that Indiana State University reports that police are attempting to positively identify three people who died in a single-vehicle accident early Sunday morning,” the university’s officials said in a statement.

According to WTHR, the crash occurred around 1:34 AM on Sunday, according to the Vigo County Sheriff’s Office. when a car on State Road 46 that was on the campus of Indiana State University drove off the road, hit a tree, and caught fire.

According to the site, VanHooser and Eubanks were two of the five persons who were trapped inside the burning car when first responders arrived.
