Nigeria immigration reopens passport application portal

The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has reopened the passport application and payment portal.

The Assistant Comptroller for Immigration Service, Amos Okpu, made the announcement on Tuesday, stating that applicants can apply and make payments for the categories of passports of their choice.

Recall the NIS portal was closed on the directives of the Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, on May 17.

It was slated to reopen on June 1 but was postponed to June 8, Tuesday.

All applications and payments for passport services shall be made through the NIS website
